Unglaublich wie schnell die letzten Tage wieder vergangen sind. Dennoch blieb auch etwas Zeit, das was passiert ist zu genießen.
Ich bin zu dieser Skiflug-WM gefahren, mit dem großen Ziel eine Medaille mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Und nun sind es sogar zwei geworden. Einfach nur cool!! :-)

Beide Medaillen sind etwas ganz Besonderes. Im Einzel bei dieser immens starken Konkurrenz auf dem Stockerl zu stehen ist wirklich keine Selbstverständlichkeit und macht mich sehr stolz. Und gemeinsam mit den Jungs – Michi, Poppi und Fetti – eine Medaille zu holen, die uns so vermutlich keiner zugetraut hat ist einfach fantastisch! Wenn man Erfolge gemeinsam mit anderen feiern kann, dann ist das umso schöner. Und einer war bei diesem Erfolg auch immer bei uns: Lukas Müller. Luki wir wünschen dir alle nur das Beste für die Zukunft! Bleib stark!

Ein Dankeschön noch an all die Fans, die jeden Tag zur Schanze gepilgert sind! Ihr ward schlicht und ergreifend der Wahnsinn und habt die Skiflug-WM zu einem echten Skiflugfest gemacht!

Am Sonntagabend ging es dann direkt für ein paar Tage nach Hause, bevor wir zum Wochenende nach Zakopane abreisen. Auch da werden die Fans die Schanze wieder in einen Hexenkessel verwandeln. Es gibt also noch genug auf das man sich freuen kann. ;-)

Unbelievable how fast the last days went by. Nevertheless there also was some time to enjoy what had happened.
I came to the ski flying world championships with the great goal to win a medal. And now I brought home even two. That’s just amazing!! :-)

Both medals are very special. To be on the podium in the single competition with those extremely strong competitors is definitely not an implicitness and makes me very proud. And to win a medal with the guys – Michi, Poppi and Fetti – a medal which probably nearly nobody thought we would be capable of to achieve, is fantastic. To celebrate achievements together is simply even nicer. And one person was always with us: Lukas Müller. Luki, we all wish you the best for the future! Stay strong!

Then I want to say thank you so much to all the fans which came to the hill and supported us. You were simply incredible and made this ski flying world championship to a real ski jumping festival!

After the competition on Sunday I directly went home for a few days before we will leave to Zakopane for the weekend. I’m sure that also there the fans will transform the hill into a lion’s den. So there still is a lot to look forward to! ;-)
